Welcome to Fizzy Knitting

Welcome to Fizzy Knitting, I’m Alli Rense.

It’s me, the Fizzy Knitter!

I know, you’re probably thinking, “It’s 2020, not 2007, why are you starting a knitting blog?” I’ve technically been able to knit since I was a kid: I remember my mom teaching me. But I’ve only been extra into knitting in the past couple years. The more I knit, the more I want to knit, and my ravelry account is bursting with saved patterns I’d love to cast on.

I’d love to knit this sweater by Tin Can Knits (their photo), but I don’t have the skills yet.

But I have a lot to learn. For many patterns, I’m not quite up to that skill level. For instance, I haven’t tried stranded colorwork or made an adult-sized sweater. This blog is about documenting the skills I want to learn and the projects I make as I learn them. Plus, all the things that keep me in this hobby: gorgeous patterns I want to try, delectable yarns I want to knit with. Hopefully it will also help me improve my photography skills.

Here’s some yarn I dyed myself. As you can see, the yarn is beautiful. The photography is getting there.

If you want to know more about me, check out the About page. Otherwise, I’ll just be here knitting (or writing about knitting, or wishing I was knitting, or browsing patterns on Ravelry, again).
